According to the 2017 Department of Campus Involvement study, 71% of St. Cloud State students report being involved on campus. National research shows that students who are involved in activities outside of class have better grades, feel more connected to their university/college, and graduate in less time than students who are not involved.
At St. Cloud State University we have about 150 student organizations. The opportunities are endless and the skills you learn can be applied long after you graduate.

We hope you join us for our annual campus traditions, Mainstreet and Sidestreet. These two campus events are a great way to connect with different student organizations, departments and services on campus to see all the wonderful opportunities waiting for you.
Look through the HuskiesConnect Organization List to find and connect with involvement opportunities on campus. The organization list includes all currently active student organizations as well as departments and services on campus!
The Fall and Spring Student Involvement Fairs include over 150 tables where student organizations, departments, services, non-profit organizations and local businesses. These events are a great way to see what involvement opportunities are available on campus!
Fill out the Student Organization Interest Form expressing your interest in a specific type of activity and we can get you connected with student organizations on campus! If we do not have an organization related to the interest that you provide, we can help connect you with others who share that interest and help you to start a new organization.
Any enrolled St. Cloud State student can start a student organization.
Develop a constitution or bylaws using the constitution template (MS Word). This template can also be downloaded from the Department of Campus Involvement's HuskiesConnect profile.
Officers must be enrolled St. Cloud State students (must have a President, Vice President and Treasurer)
Membership must include at least 5 St. Cloud State students (can include three offices listed above)
Collect the information listed above and complete the registration form on HuskiesConnect.
Meet with Student Organizations staff members and to learn about HuskiesConnect. This meeting will be set up through email once online application is received.
Note: Sport clubs, fraternities and sororities may have additional requirements to form a new student organization. These requirements will be explained during the Step 1 meeting with a Student Organizations staff member. Questions regarding sport clubs can be directed to the Coordinator of Intramurals and Sport Clubs at 320-308-3923. Fraternity and Sorority questions can be directed to the Assistant Director for Campus Involvement at 320-308-2205.
